3.25 x 5.25″ Watercolor and pencil on paper
I finally finished up my bird and am, overall, pretty pleased with the little guy. Part of me wishes I had really saturated the belly and head with color, and then transitioned out to pencil. This feels a little too expected for my taste. Maybe next time!

Lovely. Just look to your neighbor who is an amazing example of perfecting her vision, I’d love to see what you described.
Interesting to see how the colour has flattened the bird, made him less real, more of an interpretation.
