Arting for 365 Day 361: Sit and Chat

Day 361, 10 x 10" acrylic on canvas

Day 361, 10 x 10″ acrylic on canvas

Goal: To create one piece of art each day for 365 consecutive days

They sit on patios to lounge – coffee in hand, sunglasses on

Smiles reflect an appreciation

Of sun’s longer hours

Light bathes them as they chat

The only discomfort – if it can be called that

Are bare legs that stick

To chairs warmed by the spring

  1. This is the kind of art that infuriates me (in a good way). I know that I can produce every single element of the above without much practice*, but I also know there is no way I have the ability to put it together into a cohesive piece of art as you’ve done. I love it!

*I probably couldn’t do each element on the first try, but eventually …

  2. I’ve never been so please to infuriate someone! Oh, and you could do each element on the first try – piece of cake.

  3. Even if I could (you’re kind to say I can), I don’t have the vision to make a whole piece of visual art. Mine would be like an exploded, broken Mister Potatohead. All the pieces would be there, but not in any coherent structure.

I will happily remain a semi-pro at admiring.

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to post them here.
