Arting for 365 Day 346: In a Pickle

Goal: To create one piece of art each day for 365 consecutive days

He was in quite the predicament. Inevitably the sphere below his webbed foot would begin to wobble. His spindly legs would respond with a shake and clatter like stilts maneuvered by a want-to-be circus performer.

The thought frightened him. Other, less leggy birds, might gracefully hop down or flap their wings with ease and fly away. Such seemingly simple acts were impossible for a bird of his stature though. This may not end pretty, he decided.

  1. Reblogged this on …little hidden smile… and commented:
I find it really beautiful. I think the colours are well proportioned and matched. I really like the style of the drawing chosen for it. I would definitely hang it in a living-room in a summer house in some hot country. The only thing about this painting that I find annoying is one of the legs that doesn’t fit into the frame. It kills the symmetry. Apart from that – Love it !

  2. Thanks so much for the re-blog and I appreciate the feedback! Yes, those who love symmetry maybe slightly annoyed by the leg:) I contemplated leaving it on, but decided that I like that it draws your eye off of the canvas and then back on.

  3. I’m always looking at your art! So yeah if I like it, I reblog! FYI you are my first REBLOG! So yeah, that’s special lol!

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to post them here.
